3. Prerequisite(s): 2103. Analysis and evaluation of the properties of
metals commonly used in product design. Property change caused by hot
and cold working, and by heat treatment. Laboratory activities including
metallographic specimen preparation, inspection and testing; and
standard tests of tensile properties, hardenability, hardness and
toughness.
