Prerequisite(s):
5983 or consent of MBA, MIS/MSIS, MSTM director or assistant director or
instructor. Data mining and turning business data into actionable
information. Use of various data mining tools such as neural networks,
decision trees, classification and prediction algorithms, in the context
of most common applications in business-sales, marketing, and customer
relationship management (CRM). Use of state-of-the-art industrial
strength data mining software to analyze real-world data and make
strategic recommendations for managerial actions.
