ECEN 4010/ 5060 - Charge Transport in Nanostructures (3 credit hours)

Course Description: The purpose of this course is to discuss the conceptual and mathematical framework of charge transport phenomena in nanostructures. This requires more than just quantum mechanics and involves some of the most advanced concepts of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. These topics are usually spread out over many physics and chemistry courses that take many semesters to cover. We intend to condense the essential concepts into one semester course so that the students in engineering and applied sciences can utilize it in their research.
